Sir Tim Rice is bringing his extraordinary live musical theatre event  ‘My Life In Musicals – I Know Him So Well’ to Westlands Yeovil on April 15.

The show will see Tim reflect on his illustrious career at the heart of musical theatre, sharing anecdotes behind the songs – the hits and the misses, along with stories of his life and live performances from the wonderful catalogue of songs that are synonymous with his name (and that of his collaborators). Musical accompaniment will be from an array of some of the UK’s leading West End singers and musicians, led by Musical Director Duncan Waugh.

Ahead of the show, Jenna’s been catching up with the legendary lyricist to chat about how it all started and to get an insight into some of our most beloved musicals including Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Jesus Christ Superstar, Evita, Chess and The Lion King.

Tim talks about what it was like working on the musical Chess, with Benny and Bjorn from Abba, being one of only a few people to have achievd EGOT status (listen to discover more!) and there are some funny stories along the way... including a cover version of One Night in Bangkok that you probably won’t see coming!

Join Sir Tim and Jenna for a fascinating, warm-hearted chat that will leave you wanting more of Tim’s stories from his incredible life in musical theatre.
