PETER HOOK & THE LIGHT are in the midst of a mammoth run of tour dates, which see the band playing the Substance albums by Joy Division and New Order, in full. Err yes please!
Their Somerset gig at the Cheese and Grain on November 7th is sold out, but Peter’s team have gifted us two tickets to the Cardiff gig at the Tramshed on November 8th to give away.

About the tour
Peter Hook first revisited the seminal Joy Division album Unknown Pleasures back in May 2010 for a commemorative charity concert and has followed it each year by performing subsequent albums from the repertoire of his bands, Joy Division and New Order.
Both substance albums are filled with a powerhouse of songs. Joy Divison’s Substance includes the likes of Transmission, Atmosphere and Love Will Tear Us Apart.
New Order’s Substance boasts Blue Monday, Thieves Like Us, True Faith, State of the Nation and Bizarre Love Triangle. Even writing this means that’s what we’ll be listening to for the rest of the day now!
Peter says:
“It still amazes me how enjoyable it is to play the Substance LPs. The contrast between Joy Division and New Order is very apparent but both complement each other very well. My only frustration is not being able to play more of our records each night. I am totally looking forward to the next phase. So, let’s enjoy some Substance and get ready for the future”
So, if you can get to Cardiff on November 8th and fancy experiencing these iconic songs being played live by Peter Hook and his band… get signed up!
Good luck everyone.
