Artist, Fi Smith, creates beautiful oil-painting-snapshots inspired by the Somerset countryside where she walks, and by the South West Coast Path.
Fi's also in love with woodland, and the incredible caprets of bluebells that appear in the Spring. So, if you'd like a taste if Springtime in February, you'll definitely be interested in her upcoming exhibition at Bath Central Libraray from February 5th -27th, 2025. It's part of the BANES 'Festival of Libraries', which celebrates these precious centres for reading, meeting, learning, and relaxing.
Jenna's been catching up with Fi to find out more about her art, her thoughts on the impact of nature to change perspectives, and, of course, just how special libraries are.
Fi also has a special connrection to the Bath Central Library where her work will be showcased. To find out what, just press play below.
Listening to the chat is definitely a lovely way to take 10 minutes out of the day.
